Indian menswear brand Dennison stands out as a pioneering force in the ready-to-wear clothing sector, tapping into e-commerce long before the global shift to online shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company was incorporated in 1988 by Rajendra Seth in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Seeing people struggle to source fabrics and arrange for tailoring, Seth launched a few ready-to-wear shirts for just ₹98.
This model quickly resonated with consumers, leading to Dennison's growth across central India and into five surrounding states.
