Filmfare has always been associated with honouring excellence when it comes to the silver screen but this time around, along with its sister magazine Femina, the Filmfare & Femina Bhojpuri Icons honoured both reel and real stars. Some of the big winners of the evening were Sanjay Mishra, who received the prestigious Pride of Bhojpuri Soil Award, Sharda Sinha received the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, while Ravi Kishan was named Outstanding Performer In OTT and Manoj Tiwari was bestowed with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Here’s looking at all the winners from the grand event.

Women's era

Kiran Rao, Payal Kapadia and Shuchi Talati are redefining contemporary Indian cinema by placing women at the centre of their narratives, offering a refreshing perspective through the female gaze. Their films, Laapataa Ladies, All We Imagine As Light, and Girls Will Be Girls, not only explore women-oriented stories but also challenge the traditional male-dominated lens of storytelling, creating nuanced portrayals of women's experiences, aspirations and struggles.
