HAILED as as cinema's first Black action hero with his trailblazing performance in 1971's Shaft, Richard Roundtree's most important leading role was shining a spotlight on male breast cancer!

The 81-year-old actor was diagnosed with the deadly disease in 1993 and kept it secret for years! "I was in the shower when I found this lump under my left nipple," the actor recalled.
