The stars continued to favour futuristic fashion at Vanity Fair's ritzy Oscars afterparty in Beverly Hills.

Making a strong case for monochromatic dressing, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dazzled in a black cut-out gown, amping up her look with a sweeping train and matching leather gloves.

HELLO! Fashion editor Natalie Salmon said: "Rosie's afterparty dress was a perfect example of this really modern, fresh approach to dressing for the red carpet. She looked like a sci-fi villain, but in the best possible way." Adding extra sparkle was Barbie’s Margot Robbie, who had the Midas touch in a bejewelled 1996 Mugler corset bodysuit, while Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney channelled Marilyn Monroe in a creamy silk Marc Bouwer gown identical to that Angelina Jolie wore to the awards in 2004.

Skims founder Kim Kardashian, in sculptural Balenciaga, was joined at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts by her mother Kris Jenner, her make-up mogul half-sister Kylie Jenner, Griselda actress Sofía Vergara and Grammy-nominated singer Demi Lovato. Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos’s fiancée Lauren Sánchez and recently crowned Brits Global Icon Kylie Minogue brought some bold colour to the swanky soirée.

Showing off her sartorial flair, helicopter pilot Lauren turned heads in a voluminous organza gown by Lever Couture, while Kylie nailed mermaidcore in a baby-blue sequinned number, complete with a lime-green bustier top.

Also in the spotlight was Emma actress Anya Taylor-Joy, who wore a custom minidress by Miss Sohee, with black velvet gloves and a crystal-covered headpiece adorned with giant pearls.
