He once vowed never to walk away from the body founded in his mother's memory - but the Duke of Sussex has resigned from Sentebale, his longest-running charity

HEARTACHE FOR HARRY

The Duke of Sussex last week resigned from his Sentebale charity after he and other trustees became embroiled in a row with its chief executive. Prince Harry's co-founder, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, also stepped down amid an extraordinary dispute with the chair of the board, Dr Sophie Chandauka.

The royal pair set up the charity - which helps people living in poverty and with HIV and Aids in Botswana and Lesotho - after Harry visited Seeiso's homeland during his gap year in 2004.

In a joint statement last week, the two Princes said they were "devastated" by the turn of events.

"Nearly 20 years ago, we founded Sentebale in honour of our mothers. Sentebale means 'forgetme-not' in Sesotho, the local language of Lesotho, and it's what we've always promised for the young people we've served through this charity.
