Reaching a new milestone in his reign, the King unveiled the first completed official portrait of himself since the coronation.
His Majesty revealed the painting in the Blue Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace in front of his wife the Queen and stepdaughter Laura Lopes and her husband Harry, both of whom work in art, and was clearly impressed.
“It is remarkable, actually, how it has turned out,” he told artist Jonathan Yeo.
