The Chief Guest's Whiskers

Katy cat jumped with joy on hearing the news. She lifted her tail, growled, and started going around in circles.

"Aunt Katy, what is it? What have you heard that is making you go around in circles?" Minku rabbit asked.

"Stand aside and maintain distance! Don't you know I am a VIP now? I am the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations at Sundervan."

Seeing Katy's attitude, Minku laughed, and dropped the carrot from his hands.

"Have you looked in the mirror? Your face is like a lentil. I think you must be dreaming," Minku taunted her. Katy became angry. "I am beautiful. What do I lack?"

"The rest of you is fine but it is your whiskers. You have teensy whiskers for a chief guest, so why would anyone make you one?"

Katy was hurt, and at that moment, she decided to grow her whiskers. There was a week left until the event.

Katy took every care to ensure her whiskers grew from applying oil or cream and combing it. She did it all.
