Britney Spears & Sam Asghari Split: What Went Wrong

Just 14 months after they said “I do" in a fairy-tale at-home wedding, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are ending their marriage.

"There has been constant drama," says a Spears insider, while another source adds that the union had grown "very toxic."

In his Aug. 16 divorce filing, Asghari, 29, cited irreconcilable differences and listed the couple's date of separation as July 28. The actor and fitness trainer-who a source says has moved into his own place-also requested spousal support from Spears, 41, noting that he "reserves the right to amend" his divorce petition over property and community assets.
