How would you cope if your hen do was interrupted by the end of the world? This is the scenario at the heart of Henpocalypse!, a new BBC2 sitcom written by Caroline Moran (Hullraisers).

The six-parter revolves around demanding bride-to-be Zara (Lucie Shorthouse), who’s getting into the party spirit at a remote cottage in Wales with her mates Shelly (Callie Cooke), Veena (Lauren O’Rourke) and Jen (Kate O’Flynn) as well as her formidable mum, Bernadette (Elizabeth Berrington), when an epidemic of ‘crab measles’ heralds the start of the Apocalypse!

‘These five working-class women from the West Midlands suddenly have to learn to be resourceful in order to survive,’ says Lucie, as, here, she joins TV Times for an exclusive interview…
