Since making her Olympic debut at the London 2012 Games, Dame Laura Kenny has cycled away with five gold medals and one silver from GREE the tournament to become Britain's joint most-decorated female Olympian.

Now, the recently retired athlete, who shares sons Albie, six, and one-year-old Monty with her seven-time Olympic-cyclingchampion husband Sir Jason Kenny, is looking forward to the next chapter in her career as she provides insights into the track-and-field competitions at Paris 2024 during the BBC's coverage of the events.

When TV Times joins Laura, 32, for a very healthy lunch at the London Stadium within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, she is bubbling with excitement about her new role...

How are you feeling about sharing your expertise in Paris rather than competing in the Games?

It's going to be totally different for me, but I'm so excited. When you compete, it's just another bike race, and you're so focused on your own events that you don't really take too much notice of what's going on elsewhere. But this time I get to experience the joys of all sports and the Olympics as a whole.

Cycling stars aside, then, which Team GB contenders are you particularly looking forward to seeing?
