It was truly a collaboration above all collaborations when Fendi unveiled the Baguette 25th Anniversary Collections created among six different brands and personalities.

If there is one thing we love about Kim Jones, it is definitely the way he always finds the perfect counterparts to birth unique collaborations. And this September in New York, Fendi stepped up its game to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary Fendi Baguette with a spectacular show featuring unprecedented collections. Choosing New York as the stage for this extravaganza was a full-circle moment for the Fendi Baguette as the bag was made a pop culture icon right in this city, all thanks to one Carrie Bradshaw who yelled "it's a baguette" at gunpoint.

But what makes this collection one that stands above all is the six-way tie-up that was envisioned by Silvia Venturini Fendi (the original Baguette designer) and Kim Jones, who sought out Marc Jacobs, Tiffany & Co., Sarah Jessica Parker and Porter to realise this mother of all collaborations.

Before we get on to the show, let us rewind back to the start when Fendi teased us with a special campaign starring the legendary supermodel Linda Evangelista holding two silver Fendi Baguette bags, while showcasing a tower of sports caps. Another was her holding a tote bag that featured the Fendi Baguette held inside a transparent plastic front pocket.

While we might not have seen it then, these two very striking images served as initial hints to the collaborations and also the impetus for the New York extravaganza.
