The Goa government has announced a significant change to the 2025-26 academic calendar.

For the first time, classes for students in grades VI to X and Class XII will commence on April 1, 2025, deviating from the traditional June start. This early start aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines, ensuring that schools fulfill the required teaching hours and provide students with ample time to complete the prescribed curriculum effectively.
