The Visionary Who Transformed Goa's Event Industry

Over the past decade, Goa's events and entertainment industry has witnessed remarkable growth. Post-COVID, this sector has expanded exponentially, driven by an ever-growing demand for corporate events, lavish destination weddings, and high-profile celebrations. There's more than enough business, yet the appetite for grand experiences continues to rise. However, long before Goa became the thriving hub of luxury events that it is today, the industry was still in its formative years—marked by challenges, uncertainty, and the relentless hustle of those determined to carve a niche. Among those early pioneers who laid the foundation for today's flourishing event landscape is Jerry Pinto, the visionary behind Buzz Events. From humble beginnings to becoming one of Goa's premier event management companies, Pinto's journey is one of passion, resilience, and innovation. This is how he transformed his dream into reality, shaping the industry along the way.
Jerry Pinto, a Goan at heart, hails from the picturesque village of Salvador do Mundo but spent most of his life in Goa’s capital, Panaji. He completed his schooling at Don Bosco High School, followed by higher studies at Dhempe College, where he earned a degree in Arts. However, his academic journey took a different turn when he pursued Engineering at the Government Polytechnic, completing a four-year diploma course.
According to Jerry, stepping out of college led him to Mumbai for engineering training. “I had completed my engineering studies and was a qualified Fabrication Technologist and Erection Engineer in the steel segment,” he shares. His training at Godrej-Boyce opened doors to a job opportunity in the quality control department, but fate had other plans. “I was offered a position of Manager quality control, but destiny had something else in store for me.
