Chris Hemsworth has dropped a series of bombshells about his personal life, career, health and even retirement in a rare in-depth interview. The actor reflected on how his impending 40th birthday in August made him acutely aware of the fact he is “not going to be here forever”.

The personal insight came off the back of spending seven months “unemployed” and “enjoying downtime” with his family; surfing in his Byron Bay home town, dropping his three children to school and sharing quality time with his wife, Elsa Pataky.
