Before they set foot on the red carpet for their special night, The Formal Project’s aim is to make its teenage visitors feel like they’re in the most glamorous store they’ve ever been to.

After stepping through the doors their next hour will be spent with a dedicated assistant bringing them glitzy formal dresses or smart suits to try on, as well as sequin-covered heels or shiny, leather shoes.

It sounds like a designer boutique but, while some of the clothing does come with a thousand-dollar price tag, none of the shoppers will pay a cent.
