Force for Good

Since 2006, the Cartier Women's Initiative (CWI) has awarded over US$7m in grant funding to help women impact entrepreneurs from all over the world solve the most pressing global challenges. More than that, the programme provides its fellows necessary social and human capital support, in addition to recognising their achievements through regional and thematic awards.

For the 2023 edition, there are nine regional awards, which now includes Oceania and Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa, as well two thematic awards, the Science and Technology Pioneer Award inaugurated in 2021, and the new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award. Each of the 11 awards honoured three fellows. This year, first-place awardees received US$100,000, while the second-and third-place awardees are given US$60,000 and US$30,000 respectively.
