ACE ADE WAS TREBLE TOPS WITH REBELS

The Non-League Football Paper

NEIL BAKER reckons Elijah Adebayo is the perfect example of how hard work and determination can help a young player fulfil their footballing dreams.

- Jon Couch

ACE ADE WAS TREBLE TOPS WITH REBELS

Baker – along with his former Slough Town co-boss Jon Underwood – handed Adebayo his senior debut as a raw, freshfaced 19-year-old on a loan spell from Fulham in 2016.

Memorably, Adebayo scored a hat-trick that day, in an FA Trophy victory over Bognor Regis Town and went onto score six games in 11 games in a productive two-month spell.

Now, fast forward seven years, the bustling front man is playing in the topflight of English football and on Tuesday night became the first Luton Town player to score a Premier League hat-trick in a 4-0 thumping of Brighton & Hove Albion.
