'Biggest win' for beaming White

WAND-ERFUL! SPIRITES ARE GIVEN A RUDE AWAKENING

MARC WHITE hailed Dorking Wanderers' 'biggest win' in the National League and warned people not to write them off after they crushed runaway leaders Chesterfield at Meadowbank.

Two Alfie Rutherford goals and one each from Dan Pybus and Tom Blair saw White's men shock the champions-elect and pull off a victory which boosts their survival hopes at the foot of the table.

With TNT Sports in town for the live lunchtime kickoff, and the Spireites four wins from promotion to the Football League, you would have got long odds on Wanderers producing the result of the weekend.

But Dorking fully deserved their victory and boss White hailed their performance as the best of their two-season stay in the top flight.

"Yeah, I think so, by far. We're part-time and playing a team 23 points clear, so 4-1 is a win," resounding he said when asked if the result was their best since promotion from Step 2.
