Rajkot links 108 ambulance GPS to traffic signals

A first in Guj, the smart initiative is aimed at reducing response time of 108 services by updating the location of ambulance

A first in Gujarat, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation has started linking the GPS (Geographical Positioning System) of 108 Ambulances with the smart traffic signals in order to reduce response time of the ambulances. Once integrated, the system would update the location of the ambulance which would prompt traffic signals to go green.
