Vessels under 10 metres in length will have to apply to district magistrates

Following the tragic boat-capsizing incident in Vadodara's Harni lake, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken decisive action to improve safety in water sports and boating activities across Gujarat. On Friday, he approved the Gujarat Inland Vessels Registration, Survey and Management Regulations 2024. These regulations apply to pleasure crafts, boats, and vessels under 10 metres in length.
