Campaigners called for five key questions to be answered so voters can be sure the next government will not reduce hard-won rights.
They include ruling out allowing men to "self identify" as women and protecting young people who question their gender.
Sharron, who has been a leading champion of protections for single sex sports, also urged parliamentary hopefuls to set out their views clearly on the issue.
She told the Daily Express: "I'd like the Equality Act to clarify sex means biological sex so we can protect and enforce sex based rights for women.
"I also think any potential MP ought to know what a woman is.
"If they don't they can't protect it. If any man can say they are a woman, women have lost their sex based rights and safeguards. It's dangerous and unfair to pretend biological sex doesn't matter."
The Daily Express crusade to Protect Women's Rights was launched to stop protections for single-sex spaces and sports being wiped out.
