A WOMAN killed three children and three adults in a school massacre before police shot her dead.
The killer, a former pupil, entered the private school in Nashville, Tennessee, US, shortly before 10.15am armed with at least two assault rifles and a handgun.
The 28-year-old got into the Covenant School through a side door before opening fire on the first floor.
Armed police raced to the scene and tracked her down. Two officers opened fire, shooting her dead by 10.27am.
Don Aaron of the Metro Nashville Police Department said officers had encountered "a female who was firing".
He said: "We now know three students were fatally wounded as well as three adults inside the school. We are working to identify those victims.
