Defence and Security Editor in Jerusalem CROSS-BORDER fighting between Lebanese Hezbollah militants and Israel has increased in ferocity as troops prepare to storm the Gazan enclave of Rafah.
The Lebanese network launched a missile attack on a military base near the city of Acre, farther south than usual after an Israeli air strike killed one of its officials.
Israel described Hussein Ali Azqul as a significant Hezbollah operative.
Witnesses said the attack happened in Adloun, in south Lebanon.
