A century has passed since Dinkie Flowers started to dance and, after celebrating her 103rd birthday yesterday, her passion still burns as bright.
The former international ice skater, whose love of dancing began at the age of just three, still practises regularly at her ballet barre in her studio.
So it is no understatement when "bubbly" Dinkie, who was born in 1921, declares: "Dancing is my life."
