SAQIB MAHMOOD produced an explosive display with the ball to help Oval Invincibles retain their Hundred crown.
That left captain Sam Billings setting his sights on landing a remarkable "Three-peat" next year. England paceman Mahmood took centre stage at Lord's to rip the heart out of rivals' Southern Brave. Mahmood, who took a superb 3-17 from his 20 deliveries, including the big wicket of Kieron Pollard, celebrated the dramatic 17-run win.
He said: "The plan was to bring the stumps into play and be aggressive. Keep it simple and get the job done.
"I wanted to repay the faith the guys had in me after my injury, and it's a special feeling to win another final here."
