Elves at the grotto were reduced to tears by eight-year-old Thomas Howley's selfless request.
And to make his wish come true, mum and dad Sian and Gareth launched an online appeal which has raised almost £900 in days.
Thomas also completed a 5K run dressed as Santa to boost funds for a centre that tackles hardship.
