A TERRIFIED grandad has said the street he lives in is like a "war zone" after his camper van was petrol bombed outside his home.
Michael Sweeney was babysitting his 10-year-old grandson when his motorhome was targeted in Glasgow's Carntyne area on Sunday evening.
Emergency services were called while the panicked 50-year-old attempted to douse the flames.
He was dragged away by a hero neighbour seconds before the vehicle exploded.
Michael said: "It's like a warzone here. It's out of control. My neighbour was an absolute hero.
"He heard a hissing noise and pulled me away before a fridge exploded inside and blew the roof off.
"If the gas tankers had exploded while I was tackling the fire it would probably have killed me."
