THE daughter of slain Scots aid worker David Haines has slammed far-right extremists who use Isis atrocities to justify attacks on asylum seekers.
David, 44, was beheaded by Isis terrorists in Syria 10 years ago this week.
Daughter Bethany, 27, has devoted her life to improving ties between the UK and the Middle East.
The young mum, from Perth, said her own visit to Syria in 2019 opened her eyes to the suffering of those seeking to flee war in the region.
She said: "There's things going on in the UK just now, with these race riots and farright people marching in Glasgow, is depressing to see.
"The people that are turning up at these far right demos and riots need to educate themselves.
"Don't listen to Tommy Robinson or whoever. Go over to Syria and watch how these poor people had to live.
"Listen to them and hear the stories I did when I went there." Bethany said young people often only one hear one side of the story, which blames the UK's economic problems on immigrants.
