KYLE VASSELL says underachieving Kilmarnock should be aiming to storm up the table in the second half of the campaign.
Killie host Aberdeen at the midpoint of the Premiership season, sitting in ninth place and six points off the top half.
At this time last year they were already firmly in fourth spot and on course for European football.
Vassell insists the bottom six is no place for a squad with the quality Derek McInnes has assembled.
After today's visit from the Dons, it's away to Hibs then hack-to-back home games against St Mirren and Ross County.
And the skipper expects Killie to start showing they're capable of so much better.
Vassell said: "This season we need to really get going because we know that we're underachieving.
