FRANKIE Dettori savoured every moment as Soul Sister hit another high note on the star jockey’s “crazy” farewell tour in the Betfred Oaks.
Racing’s most famous name, riding in the Epsom Classic for the final time, finished in the clear on John and Thady Gosden’s filly.
Dettori, fresh from his Group One Coronation Cup win on the stable’s Emily Upjohn earlier in the day, stormed down the outside on the 11-4 second favourite. Cheered on by the crowd at a sun-soaked Epsom, Soul Sister powered on from the 5-6 favourite Savethelastdance for a length and three-quarter victory.
