BEN DUCKETT and Ollie Pope led a record-breaking demolition of the suffering Ireland bowlers as England went run crazy again at Lord's.
And Test new boy Josh Tongue (3-27) produced a sparkling late bowling display to take his first international wickets and leave Ireland stumbling towards a rapid defeat.
Duckett smashed 182 and in doing so hit the quickest 150 seen at this famous ground. He took just 150 balls, beating the previous best of Sir Don Bradman in the 1930 Ashes.
Pope also had a day to remember with a stunning double century.
Now England will be expecting to finish Ireland off today after Worcestershire seamer Tongue (inset) joined in the fun.
Joe Root also passed 11,000 Test runs on his return to the long game, hitting a half-century.
England declared on 5244 before Tongue left the Irish crumbling on 97-3 at the close.
That's still 255 runs adrift from making England bat again.
