ISAK HAS STRIKING MESSAGE FOR THE GUNNERS

THE Toon Army were already singing about Wembley.

And no wonder. Newcastle have got one foot in the Carabao Cup final on March 16 after a terrific and hugely impressive display at the Emirates. It will take a minor miracle for Arsenal to turn it around.

Eddie Howe's men were sharper and slicker, while Arsenal looked horribly flat with their season in real danger of fading away into disappointment.

In truth, it was all about the difference a top striker makes, because Alexander Isak took his chance, while Arsenal's forward line wasted every opening.

Incredibly, it is now 50 goals for Isak in all competitions since he joined Newcastle for £63m in August 2022 and he is the reason why they are dreaming of their first major trophy in 56 years.

Arsenal looked ragged, tired, and as if they are running on empty.

They are six points off Liverpool in the title race - having played a game more and face a huge FA Cup tie with Manchester United on Sunday.

They could soon be left with just the Champions League to play for.
