HARRY KANE has been praised by team-mate Heungmin Son for refusing to put himself first despite the intense speculation surrounding his future.
It emerged over the weekend that Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has told chairman Daniel Levy to sell the England captain this summer if he cannot persuade him to commit to a new £400,000-a-week contract.
He is not prepared to allow such a prized asset to walk away for nothing when his current deal expires in 12 months.
Bayern Munich have already had two bids rejected and are expected to come back in with a third before the end of the month.
Lewis’ stance also appears to have reawakened Manchester United’s interest, where Kane could continue to pursue Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record.
