Evening Standard
|July 26, 2024
A MAN was kicked in the head by a police officer at Manchester Airport after his mother was involved in a mid-air row with another passenger, it was claimed today.
Huge protests have been staged since footage emerged which appeared to show 19-year-old Mohammed Fahir Amaz being kicked by a Greater Manchester Police firearms officer.
An officer has now been suspended and an investigation launched by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Fahir and his brother Mohammed Amahd were said to have been at the airport to meet their mother who was flying from Pakistan on Tuesday.
