The FTSE 250 firm said demand for “key luxury brands … remains strong in both the UK and US markets, outstripping supply”. Its shares topped London’s second-tier stock index, up almost 36p, or about 10%, to 412p.
It said the improvement meant “continued stabilisation of the UK market in both luxury watches and jewellery” after “a period of challenging macroeconomic conditions in the prior financial year”, in a trading update covering the first 18 weeks of its financial year.
