JAIPUR: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday pushed for implementation of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC), which would ensure that every citizen receives insurance, and alleged that the Centre's Ayushman Bharat scheme failed to provide insurance coverage to 50% of the population.
"The central government's Ayushman Bharat scheme does not provide insurance coverage to even 50% of the population, whereas the need of the hour is universal health coverage i.e. insurance for all," Gehlot said in a post on X.
