Ruud believes good times can return under new boss Ruben

RUUD van Nistelrooy has told United fans that he 'only sees good things' ahead for the club as he prepares to end his four-game spell as caretaker manager at Leicester City this afternoon.

The Dutchman has overseen two wins and a draw during his two weeks in charge so far and is looking to end his time in the hotseat with a first Premier League success, before discussions take place over whether he will take up a role in Ruben Amorim's backroom team.

Van Nistelrooy returned to United in the summer as part of Erik ten Hag's new-look staff and took over last Monday when Ten Hag was sacked after a poor run of form.

Van Nistelrooy, who scored 150 goals in 219 games for the club between 2001 and 2006, has rekindled his relationship with Reds supporters over the past two weeks.

Writing in his final programme notes as caretaker manager, he expressed gratitude for the support he has had from the stands.
