The Stockport star, 29, battled back to defeat Japan's Rio Noguchi 5-7 6-1 6-2 in round one of the men's singles draw.
The past few months have not been easy for Broady, who was beaten in his opening match by Gabriel Diallo at the LTA's Lexus Surbiton Trophy last week.
However Broady went on to win the men's doubles title alongside compatriot Jonny O'Mara in London, and was pleased to get an opening singles victory on the grass under his belt yesterday.
