CAST WILL OPEN BROTHERS' REUNION SHOWS

- DIANNE BOURNE

Masterplan for Oasis support

OASIS have confirmed the full lineup of support acts that will be joining them on the UK and Ireland leg of their huge reunion tour.

While the support acts have been rumoured for a while, the band has now officially confirmed the guest stars joining them for their huge stadiums and outdoor shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Dublin and Edinburgh in the summer.

After confirming Wigan’s finest Richard Ashcroft last week, Oasis have now added their opening act for the shows. And it will be Liverpool indie legends Cast famed for hits like Finetime and Alright.

The band say: “The line-up is now completed with the news that Cast will open at all 19 instantly sold-out shows.”

It suggests that no further names will now be added to the bill.

Oasis has faced criticism from some quarters for not including upand-coming bands to the line-up. But Liam Gallagher hit back at those critics last week, saying on his X account: “To all the folk who are crying about us not showing love to the young bands and not letting them support there’s LEVELS to this game and I’m afraid 99 per cent of ya are way off.”
