A MUM had popped out with a friend when she noticed several messages from her partner, telling her she needed to come home urgently.
As Cathrine Doyle pulled into her road in Wythenshawe, she noticed several fire engines in front of her - all heading towards her flat, where her boyfriend and youngest son had been inside.
At that point, she knew it was serious. Luckily, her loved ones were unharmed, albeit shaken. Cathrine's partner was able to rescue them both before the blaze took hold. What started as a small fire in her living room, spread to the kitchen, bathroom and even the roof of the property - leaving it destroyed.
