A group of boys at the Barlow RC High School in Burnage were assembled in a classroom for a session with charity Football Beyond Borders last Friday.
In a video posted to the school’s TikTok, a member of staff then put his head around the door. “We’ve got someone who wants to come and watch the session, is that OK?” he asked. The assembled Year 9s nodded their approval.
But then there were shouts and gasps of disbelief all around as Rashford strolled into the room.
