A DEDICATED Plymouth Argyle fan received a minute's applause from fellow Pilgrims fans during their clash with Millwall on Tuesday, after losing his battle with cancer over the weekend.
Play was stopped in the 44th minute of Argyle's Championship clash against the Lions in a tribute to lan Harris - known to his loved ones as Bomber - who died aged 44.
A group of friends even walked the 26 miles from Fowey to Plymouth prior to the evening match, part of a fundraising effort which had aimed to raise £10,000 for specialist cancer treatment in Germany.
Despite Mr Harris's death, his friends continued with the walk, which became a tribute to his life.
Friends and family of the Cornwall man previously paid tribute to "a genuinely good person" and a man who was always smiling. He passed away at home with his sister and his beloved wife and soul-mate by his side.
