TAVISTOCK manager Stuart Henderson is concerned that star striker Alex Battle is continuing to be troubled by a knee injury.
The former Plymouth Argyle and Crawley Town frontman picked up the injury towards the end of last season and only returned to action a few weeks ago. But since his return, the 25-year-old has twice broken down, much to the concern of Henderson.
"We don't really know what it is, but we do know that something isn't right," Henderson said. "He has come back twice now and broken down. He has done everything the physios have asked him to do, he can do the running, he can do the strength work, but when it comes to twisting and turning, the movements in a game, it doesn't feel right for him.
"Something has not been diagnosed properly, so he is obviously not right and he is not going to be part of the squad for a few weeks.
"He has had it scanned once and he is going to look to have it scanned again to see if something was missed with the diagnosis. I am no expert and nor is he, you are in the hands of the medical people you see, but something is not quite right and the inkling is that something has been missed."
