PLYMOUTH Argyle's 21-year-old defender Saxon Earley has had ankle surgery which is expected to rule him out of action until pre-season in July.
Earley was loaned out to League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers at the end of the winter transfer window to get some game time after recovering from a torn anterior talofibular ligament. However, a similar injury has prevented him from getting the chance to play for the Buckinghamshire club.
He had made two starts in the first three games of this season for the Pilgrims before suffering the first of his two ATFL injuries.
Argyle head coach Ian Foster said: "Saxon has not had a good time unfortunately. He has had surgery this week. He had a ruptured ATFL injury, similar to the one he had previously.
