TWO firefighters in Cornwall have been suspended from duties, Cornwall Council has confirmed.
The firefighters, from Launceston, had been suspended, allegedly over the misuse of the WhatsApp social messaging app.
While the local authority has confirmed the suspensions and that an internal investigation is underway, it has refused to say when the two firefighters were suspended or why. Cornwall Council did not divulge the nature of the allegations against the pair, how long their suspension is expected to last for or whether they remain on full pay or not.
