Home advantage could help Tavistock retain their status
The Herald|February 28, 2024
TAVISTOCK manager Stuart Henderson is looking forward to three successive home games now, which could see the Lambs cement their place in Division One South for next season.

Home advantage could help Tavistock retain their status

Although Tavi are in no immediate danger of being involved in a relegation fight, Henderson is keen to hit the 40-point mark quickly, which would guarantee the Lambs another season of Southern League football at Langsford Park.

On Saturday, they were second best at Frome Town, who went top of the table following their 3-1 win at Badgers Hill.

Tonight, Tavistock welcome Devon rivals Willand Rovers in the first of those three games looking to claim their first ever win against them, having lost 2-0 back in August and both games in the league last season as well.

"Saturday was always going to be a difficult game, going to a team second in the league and with a very good home record," Henderson said.

"It was always going to be a tough ask, but I felt we could have done better with certain situations.

"We have three home games now and we need to try and pick up some points from those.
