PLYMOUTH Parkway are looking to bounce back from last week’ disappointing home defeat against Hungerford Town in the Southern League Premier Division when they travel to an in-form Wimborne Town tomorrow.

McPhee seeks a response from Parkway

The Yellows fell to a 2-0 defeat at Bolitho Park, despite winning their last three games on the spin and failed to show the high standard they had set in previous weeks.

Speaking on last Saturday's disappointment, manager — Chris McPhee said: “I'll say it was probably one of our worst performances for a long while.

“Collectively, we really struggled to use the ball in the way that we normally do out from the back. We cause ourselves a few problems at times by being indecisive and not clean with our play and we could have been punished earlier on before they scored their first goal.

“We've spoken as a group the importance of recognising mistakes and trying to rectify those in the game and then covering for people that are trying to do that. So there was issues for the game that kind of caused us those problems, and we didn’t help ourselves out.

“The result was the right result at the end of the day, but from a from a team performance, from a managerial reflection, it was a day where we were just miles away from the form that kind of got us on that run in the first place”

Prior to Saturday's defeat, Parkway were hit with the huge blow that Truro City were recalling star winger Tylor Love-Holmes, and it is clear to see, given the lack of attacking spark on Saturday, just how important the 20-year-old had become to McPhee’s side.
