Lesley Park, who runs six outlets in the city, said she will open her seventh in a unit at the under-construction Derriford District Centre.
The new 1,000 sq ft pasty emporium will create about 12 jobs. Mrs Park said: “It will be about the same size as the store in Armada Way and will have about 24 seats inside. It will also be a takeaway and we will be delivering from Derriford, too.”
Construction is well under way at the former Seaton Barracks. Confirmed tenants at Derriford District Centre include a Marks & Spencer Foodhall, an Aldi supermarket, a Costa Coffee, a gym operated by PureGym, a Pets Corner pet shop and the Oggy Oggy pasty shop.
