Christina Quinn had just started as Chief Executive Officer of St Luke’s when she was one of three people who died in a dive boat fire in Egypt in May.
Christina, 58, had also recently become a member of Saltash-based Tamar Trotters running club after completing its Couch to 5k course. The club has now donated £500 to St Luke’s after holding a quiz in her memory.
Christina became CEO at St Luke’s in May following a long and impactful career with the NHS. She had served for six years in a voluntary capacity as chair of St Luke’s board, working with the senior management team.
In her spare time she developed a passion for running and found friendship among the other runners at the Tamar Trotters.
Those members included Shelley Tess and Eve Tandy who asked the club if it would raise money in memory of Christina at one of its regular quiz nights.
