The rogue, sunken city-state of Zaun is a place that’s forgotten at best, and outright vilified at worst. It’s a place that slowly kills its citizens, twisting bodies and psyches via a potent cocktail of foul pollutants, copious drug abuse, and unfettered body modification. But in this horrifying place there is one bright light.

Ekko is an inventor, a prodigy doing his utmost to create a safe haven within Zaun, and it’s his trinkets that turn the city from a deathtrap into a playground. Convergence is an action platformer within a metroidvania structure; as Ekko travels the city, he’ll find areas he can’t yet access, and so he’ll need a new gadget in order to move on. It’s a relatively gentle curve; upgrades are tied to the narrative, and much of what’s gated off early on are exploratory bonuses – challenges or unlocks that are nice to overcome but not crucial to the experience.
